1:00PM Registration/Check-In
1:15PM One hour chess instruction starts
2:30PM 4-round tournament begins
Format: Players are placed in the following sections according to their ability.
Level 1 - Beginner
Level 2 - Novice
Level 3 - Intermediate
Level 4 - Open
Time Control: 15min 5 sec delay
Prizes: There will be medals for top players and top girl in each section. Other participants will be awarded colourful key chains.
Fees
Annual Membership $10. Tournament Fee $15 if registered prior to 10:00 am on the day of the event, or $20 for onsite registration. ($3 sibling discount and $7 discount for bringing a friend who is new to the club).
Registration: Pre-register at www.calgaryjuniorchess.com before
10:00AM on September 22nd. Thereafter, you must register onsite.
