In case two or more players are tied for places 1st place the following tie-break procedure will apply:

1)    Head to head result.  This will only apply if all the players in a group played each other.

2)    Tie-break match.  If two players tie they will play a two game match with a time control of 10 minutes and 5 seconds increment per move, each.  If 3 or 4 players are tied, they will play a single round-robin tournament with the same time control.  If the tie is still not broken the procedure will be repeated but with blitz time control of 3 minutes per player with a 2 second increment after each move.

3)    If more than 4 players are tied they will play a single round-robin with a time control of 3 minutes per player with a 2 second increment after each move.
