Format: 6-round open Swiss, CFC & FIDE rated for Open & U1700 sections & 7 round Swiss, CFC Rated for U1200 Sections
Time control: 90m plus 30s for Open and 45m plus 30s for U1200 section

Monday – 10:00 a.m. & 3:00 p.m. or ASAP after round 5
A 45-minutes break between games is guaranteed. Default late time is 60 minutes.

U1200

Saturday – 10:00 a.m. ; 12:30 p.m. ; 5:00 p.m
Sunday – 10:00 a.m. ; 12:30 p.m ; 3:00 p.m.
Monday – 10:00 a.m. 

Entry Fee
$80
GM/IM title holders receive free entry.
CFC membership is required. Annual membership is $43 for adults, $28 for juniors. 

CFC membership must be valid before registrant can play. (See below on instructions to check)

Prizes
Entry entry fees less $10 ACA dues per paid participant less costs (venue, TD Fees, rating fees).

The winner (if an Albertan) qualifies for the 2027 Alberta Closed.

Registration
No on-site registration. Registration ends at 10PM on October 9th.

On-site check in runs 9:00 – 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 10. Players must arrive by 9:30 a.m. or they won’t be paired.
Byes: A maximum of two half-point byes are available in rounds 1-5 if requested before the start of round 1.

Miscellaneous
The ACA Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place on Saturday, October 10 at 3:30 p.m.

Refunds will not be issued past October 9 at 10pm. Refunds will be price minus processing fee.
