New Format:
- Regular time control Game in 30 plus 30 seconds increment.
- Recording is mandatory!
- Quad system. Players will be broken into groups of 4 by rating and play a total of 3 games. A round robin tournament will be played within each section.
- Best effort will be made to have 4 players with similar ratings grouped in each section.
Restrictions:
- The registration is capped at a total of 40 players.
- This tournament is CFC rated (Regular). CFC ID is strongly recommended when you register for this event. Any person resident in Canada may become a Life CFC member. To become a CFC member, you must complete BOTH steps: 1). create an ID on GoMembership and 2). buy a CFC membership. - The final section assignment is determined by the Head TD based on the higher of regular and active ratings. Check your CFC rating at the link: https://www.chess.ca/en/ratings/

Schedule:
On-site check-in: 1:00PM - 1:30PM on Saturday, October 22nd
Games start at 1:30PM.
Prizes:
The 1st and 2nd places in each quad will receive medals.
All other participants will receive colorful chess keychains.
Entry Fee and Registration: First child at $15, sibling at $12. Register using the “Register” button at the top of the page. The registration will be closed as soon as the 40-player cap is reached OR by 10:00PM on Tuesday, October 18th, whichever comes sooner. If you are interested in attending after the registration closed, please contact chesscjcc@gmail.com. We will try our very best to accommodate. However, the spot is not guranteered as there need to be four players in a quad to play the tournament.

We have limited volunteers onsite. Parents are solely responsible for the safety and security of the players in between rounds and after the tournament has completed. Also, we ask you please kindly notify the volunteers at the front desk if you decide to pick up your kids before all rounds are completed.
